Face lift, effectively treats the flaccidity and drop of the tissues in the area of the face and neck, restoring them to their original position, highlighting their youthful appearance again.
PROCEDURE
Our face changes each year making the signs of aging noticeable especially in areas sensitive to the effect of gravity and volume loss, such as the neck, cheeks and the contour of the face, and in the area of the lower jaw. With the Face Lift procedure, restoration of flaccidity is achieved in men and women, in the middle and lower half of the face, i.e. in the cheeks, neck and contour of the face.
TECHNIQUE
In the doctor’s office, a detailed examination of the patient’s face, cheeks, neck and eyes is preceded. A complete medical history and photos are taken which are immediately processed through the REVOLUTIONARY 3D TECHNOLOGY available to the doctor, so that those interested can immediately have a first impression of their image after the face lift surgical intervention.
The incisions made in the face lift are “hidden” at the border of the scalp in the temporal region and extend a few millimeters in front of the ear, around and behind it (always inside the hairline) and depending on the flaccidity that exists especially in the neck and lower jaw.
Face lift is performed under general anesthesia or intoxication, while it can be combined safely and successfully with liposuction in the neck (groin) and with blepharoplasty in the upper and lower eyelid area at the same surgical time.
During the surgery, the internal tissues of the face are suspended (lifted) with appropriate sutures over the cheekbone, thus achieving the lift that was lost due to flaccidity and loss of volume.
The duration of the operation is about 2 to 2.5 hours.
RESULTS
The skin follow the previous suspension of the internal structures of the face and that is why the result is absolutely successful and lasts over time, up to 10 years !!
Facial features are not altered, but are highlighted after the sagging is removed and returned to the anatomical position they would normally be in. Our goal is always the most natural result and faces that radiate health and glow and not “frozen”, fake and exaggerated, that reveal like a procedure had been performed.
SURGERY
There is mild swelling and bruising in the facial area which gradually subsides over the next 10 days.
The patient can leave the hospital the same day after a few hours if everything is well or the next morning. They can return to their normal activities after about 15-20 days.
The pain is mild and is treated with oral painkillers.
COMPLICATIONS
The possible complications, although the appropriate measures are always taken to prevent them from happening, can be:
- Bleeding-hematoma
- Inflammation
- Deep vein thrombosis (rare)
